Resort Fee

Cranwell Resort assesses a resort fee that covers the provisions of the following resort services. The fee is $20.00 per night, per room (plus applicable tax).

Spa Use


All Cranwell accommodations are smoke-free. Additionally, state law prohibits smoking in public areas, including the Mansion, all dining rooms and lobbies.

Pet Policy

Dogs are welcome at Cranwell Resort with a fee of $50.00/day and provided they are kept in a pet crate when left in the room unattended and on a leash at all times when outdoors. There may be an additional clean-up/damage fee upon room inspection at check-out. Room types are limited and are at the discretion of the resort. Reservations must be made by phone with an agent and the dog must be registered as our guest at the time of booking. Please call (800) 272-6935.

Indoor Pool

Swim your way to good health. Swimming is an enjoyable, healthy way to spend some of your leisure time.

  • Located in the spa in a glass-enclosed atrium with beautiful views
  • The pool is 30’ x 60’ and runs 3.5’ to 5’ deep, temperature 82-84 degrees
  • Semi-circular bathing area to accommodate young children in a family-friendly setting
  • Open year-round for fun and relaxation in winter
  • Our certified water aerobics instructors conduct invigorating aqua exercise classes designed to enhance the fitness level of all ages

Outdoor Pool

 A great place for family fun, you’ll enjoy swimming or just relaxing at our outdoor pool located next to the Pro Shop and Sloane’s Tavern.

  • Open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Weather permitting, we keep the pool open as long as possible into September.
  • The pool is 30' x 60, 3.5' to 7' deep, temperature 82 degrees
  • Poolside food & beverage service is available from the adjacent Sloane's Tavern
  • Towels provided for in-house guests

AQUA FUN MIX: Strengthen, stretch and even work on balance moves in the water! This shallow water class will incorporate a variety of water exercises with and without using aqua equiptment. 50 minutes, $15

AQUA YOGA: Aqua Yoga adapts traditional yoga poses to an aquatic environment.  Practicing yoga in the water may allow students to achieve a greater range of motion, increase muscle strength, flexibility, achieve proper alignment, breath, all while soothing the body and mind.
80 minutes, $15

DEEP WATER CHALLENGE (5.5 FT): Experience a combination of strength-building and cardio exercises. In this class, you will use a waist support that will relieve pressure on your joints while still giving you an invigorating workout.
50 minutes, $15

LIQUIDATION: Not sure you have 50 minutes? You are welcome to join late or leave early. Cardiovascular and strength-driven class. Your instructor will choose from deep water aqua jogging belts, noodles, kick boards and dumbbells.
50 minutes, $15

LIQUID FORCE: Use the resistance of the water as you are guided through a fun-filled, invigorating workout. Dumbbells, noodles, and balls will be used to strengthen core and balance. Splash your way to a fitter you!

BODY SCULPT: Using lower weights and more repetitions to sculpt and tone longer, leaner muscles you will increase your energy level and improve posture as you build confidence. Modifications can be made to each exercise based on fitness level. 50 minutes, $15

PILATES: Pilates is a body conditioning routine that encourages flexibility, builds strength, increases endurance and improves coordination through control, centering, flow, precision and breathing. 50 minutes, $15

INDOOR CYCLING: This indoor cycling class will challenge your strength and endurance at the same time. Let our imaginative instructors take you for a bike ride. Climb... flats... jumps... ride! 50 minutes, $15

TOTAL BODY FITNESS: "Get the maximum benefit"! This class format mixes cardio and strength challenges that will change weekly to keep your body working hard. Our instructors' support you reaching your fitness goals by pushing your body to adapt. 50 minutes, $15

STRENGTHEN AND STRETCH CHALLENGE: This class will challenge you to combine dynamic balance and toning movements using free weights. We also integrate strength exercises and explore range of motion. Get in your daily stretch while building muscle and improving balance along the way! 50 minutes, $15


BALLET BARRE: This class is designed based on the foundations of classical ballet to strengthen and lengthen the body. Enjoy a barre warm up before participating in a slow flowing graceful movement in the center of the room.
50 minutes, $15

CARDIO DANCE: Move and groove with a mix of high-energy choreography that ranges in style from line and Latin dancing to Bollywood and beyond! Exercise and fun all in one. 50 minutes, $15

CHAIR YOGA: This practice provides you with ways to relieve tension and stress as well as strengthen and stretch using the chair for support. 50 minutes, $15

FITNESS & CHAIR YOGA: This class begins with a gentle cardio warm up standing or seated. We will work with weights as well as resistance equipment. The latter portion of the class will transition into yoga postures, balance exercises, and relaxation techniques. Participants will be encouraged to safely improve their overall strength, endurance, and flexibility. 50 minutes, $15

YOGA STRETCH: Simple stretching, breathing techniques, and sun salutations. Learn ways to relieve stress and anxiety. Let our instructor help you open the mind and body connection. You are welcome to bring your questions and list of postures for which you would like to find variations/modifications. Excellent class for all levels.

DIVINE SLEEP YOGA NIDRA - DEEP MEDITATION AND RELAXATION: Allow yourself to be completely nourished in this guided meditation. You will be led into a deep relaxation which will revitalize the body and mind, reduce stress, promote healing, rest, and rejuvenation. Lie down, listen and breathe... 50 minutes, $15

KRIPALU MODERATE YOGA: For students of all levels. This moderate practice explores a variety of foundational poses, proper alignment, and breathing exercises. It provides a low-key moderate workout with the focus on mind, body, and breath awareness. Suggestions are offered to support students in modifying the level of challenge, and students will be encouraged to work within individual capacities. 50 minutes, $15

MODERATE YOGA: Understand the ancient practice of Hatha Yoga with skills for balancing and strengthening yourself through breath work and visualization, movement, and stillness. In this class, you will be encouraged to explore challenging modifications (including Vinyasa, long hold and core work) to help you intensify and deepen your yoga practice. Beginners and long-time practitioners alike are welcome! 50 & 80 minute classes, $15

RESTORATIVE YOGA: In this restorative yoga practice students will be guided into yoga postures using a variety of props to support and stabilize the body and promote relaxation and renewal of the body and mind. These restorative postures are designed to release deeply held tensions, calm the mind, and soothe the nervous system. 50 & 80 minute classes, $15

ZUMBA®: This fitness class is designed for everyone -- dancers and non-dancers alike -- can do it! Using moves from Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton and other dance forms you will learn easy to follow routines. This class has been called  "exercise in disguise." You will burn calories and have a blast at the same time. Come join the party!

ZUMBA® STEP: Strengthen and tone your glutes and legs with a blend of Zumba routines and step aerobics. Get maximum results as you enjoy this easy-to-follow party. 50 minutes, $15

Personal Training

Work with one of our certified personal trainers to assist you with your specific fitness goals. Whether you are new to exercise, returning from a long break, looking to break a plateau, need motivation, support or guidance, we are here to help you meet those challenges and share in your wellness routine.

Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing

Whether you cross-country ski or venture out on an exhilarating snowshoe trek, this is a great place to spend an outdoor winter day.

With miles of country roads, the Berkshires are ideal for bicycling. Many routes wind through spectacular wooded roadways and connect quaint New England villages with scenic, open countryside.

  • For cyclists of all ages, explore the Ashuwilliticook Trail, a dedicated bike path that connects Adams and Pittsfield
  • Mapped routes include heritage sites where riders can experience the history, culture and scenery of the Berkshire are available through Berkshire Bike Path.
  • Bicycle reservations are available through the Pro Shop with advanced notice

Our new Spa Passport is an all-access program for local residents that provides use of our Fitness Center and Indoor Pool, Tennis Courts and Cross-Country Skiing, as well as Daily Classes Fitness Classes and use of the spa with Steam Room, Sauna, Whirlpool and lounge with fireplace.  In addition to discounted guest day passes, you will also receive discounts on spa treatments, golf greens fees, dining, and shopping.
