Fitness – A Way of Life!

Pump up your heartbeat or work on your core strength by taking one of the many fitness classes here at the award-winning Spa at Cranwell in the Berkshires. Improve your strength and endurance, while increasing flexibility and balance with a Yoga or Pilates class. Fitness is the ultimate key to youth, longevity and well-being. Get started today!

Fitness Classes


Aerobic Circuit

Let our instructors guide you on a journey that will change your workout from the ordinary to the extraordinary. We combine a cardio workout with several stations that include balance, flexibility and strength elements.


50 minutes, $15


Aqua Fusion

Break through the fitness plateau with cross-training in the pool. Build strength and stamina with this no-impact workout using kickboards, noodles and water weights. All levels welcome.

Aqua Mix

Using the natural resistance of the water, our instructors will guide you through an invigorating workout designed for all levels. Class may use station work, cardio elements and equipment to create a unique workout.  We will help you determine the pace that is best for you as you splash your way to a better body.  All levels welcome.

Core & Stretch

A combination class focusing on the core and proper positioning to receive the maximum fitness benefit. Followed by stretching techniques to lengthen and relax. All are welcome.

Hike

Hike off property and venture on one of the many trails the Berkshires has to offer.  You will experience the beauty of the Berkshire mountains while getting a great workout.  All levels welcome.

Kickboxing

Kick and punch your way into shape. This class will teach the basic drills and proper form of kickboxing in an easy format that will increase strength and stamina. All levels welcome.



50 minutes, $15


Morning Stretch

Prepare for the day with this free flowing stretch class that will lengthen major muscles.  Move to music to feel refreshed, balanced and reenergized.  All are welcome.

Morning Walk

Start your day with a complimentary brisk walk to explore the property of Cranwell and take in the fresh air. Meet in front of the Mansion.

Pilates

Mat-based class originating from the principles of Joseph Pilates.  Here our instructors will introduce you to basic Pilates form, including breathing, body positioning and core elements. A beginner class with options for the intermediate as well.



50 minutes, $15


Spin & Core

A heart-pumping workout followed by 15 minutes of core work.  You will climb, sprint and ride to music and professional instruction on a stationary bike.  All levels welcome.

Spinning

Indoor cycling class that encourages you to work at a pace that feels right for you. The routine is designed to simulate terrain encountered in actual bicycle rides. No experience needed.

Strength & Balance

Create a leaner, stronger, more flexible body using classic sculpting and stretching techniques. All levels welcome.

Yoga



Gentle Yoga

Have you always wanted to try a yoga class, but were nervous? Or are you a beginner who would like to gain some confidence? This is the class for you. We will guide you through a gentle practice, giving you guidelines and confidence to continue your practice. Basic Yoga postures will be addressed.



80 minutes, $20


Moderate Yoga

This yoga class is appropriate for a conditioned beginner or those who are presently practicing yoga. Let our instructors guide you from posture to posture with gentle connecting movements. Focus on connecting breath with movement. Our teachers may introduce you to threads of Hatha, Kripalu, Kriya and Ashtanga yoga as you practice. This class flows from standing to seated postures.



80 minutes, $20


Restorative Yoga

Using props, our instructors will take you through an amazing active relaxation, that is both invigorating and stress reducing. This class is designed for beginners to advanced, and is a great compliment to anything else you have done today. No yoga experience is necessary and most postures are done seated or laying down.

Yogacore

Taught in a flow style, Yogacore focuses on using postures to build strength and balance for total body conditioning. All levels welcome.
